I think "Screwed the Pooch" pretty much describes tonights experience at the Orange AMC 30 Theaters. Arrived around 4:15-4:30pm and still DID NOT GET IN. First time for me in a long time. Other factors affecting the screening was the MASSIVE presence of all the Twilight sequel kiddies who showed up at 3am this morning so they could be FIRST in line for their show. As a result the 2 largest theaters weren't available for Airbender. I did personally witness a large Karate school and their VIP entourage of about 50 people just waltz right in there plus there's the usual radio station winners and all the OC Register Insider folks. The girl from that group told me that you need at least 75,000 points to get a ticket. Guess I better start collecting points. Almost forgot to point out that now school is OUT we should probably start arriving even earlier...maybe 2pm-3pm just to be SAFE. CYA!

Thanks for last minute tix to Jonah Hex at The Block. Sure wish there was a Lakers game for EVERY screening because it keeps the crowds at home. No major problems with cell phone users/abusers in the dark. The Sticker Pimps from JACK FM seemed to have lost their steam and energy over other radio stations that have appeared here before. I mean C'MON all ya got is some lame T-shirt contests? Wow what a "job"!

Uh Hi Guys! I leave for a couple days and I see MARGOR going off on me...WOW I guess my screen name sounds a little too "serious" so I've changed to hopefully "appease" the masses. LOL! Please take everything I say TONGUE-IN-CHEEK and not get too riled up over my posts. I commented on AlBee because he KNOWS that I'm joking around plus I could care less if I'm IN FRONT, THE MIDDLE, or THE BACK of the line. I live 3 miles from this theater and YES it's my own responsibility to get there EARLY enough to guarantee entry into the theater. I'm not a last minute moron who shows at 6:30 for a 7pm show. Hope we can remain friends over there and with Maceo De Kat too. ;) I don't attend every screening because it's not possible as of late so see you next month. Your New Friend

Sean: I arrived at 4pm and the Usual Suspects were already in Line. I think AlBee has his name painted on the ground. Anyway doors opened at 530pm and by 6pm the line was out the door and around the box office. I think everyone got a seat. OCWeekly was there and ran a contest for Joan Jett concert tix at the OC Fair in August. Some lucky girl in front of me WON. KISS-FM was there and threw out free RUNAWAYS shirts to the crowd. Thanks again!

Didn't win Runways tix but really enjoyed She's Outta My League at The Block tonight. Excellent comedic dialogue, touch of American Pie type raunchiness, and a little love story to connect it all. Thanks again Sean. Oh got a coupon for a FREE fountain drink in a collectable movie cup over at Carls Jr. Drove off and forgot to claim it...oh well.

For Tina: All the reserved rows were for contest winners from the OC Register and OC Weekly. A coordinator asked me if I was a member of the Register Insider web program and I said NO so he asked me not to sit there. Some bozo took it upon himself to break off the tape guarding the last row so we naturally followed him to those empty seats and got in trouble for it. Just before the film started all the empty seats that were being held were released for anyone who wanted to sit there. By that time I was already happy with my seat and didn't want to move. By the way how about that slickster that went up and nabbed his supposed "girlfriends" raffle prize from OC Weekly? Shame shame! The audience let him know it too with a collective BOO. ;)

Saw Couples Retreat as well. Almost a 90 minute commercial for those Bora Bora resort hotels and I'm sure it will add a punch to tourism there. And heads up to AdamP who couldn't make it because it was his birthday on Thursday and I heard he went to Dizzyland! A nice Aussie lady sitting to my left was excited to see this as well because she works in the travel industry. Oh I don't know what's prettier..the sky blue water of Bora Bora or the eyes of Kristin Bell. P.S. Showed up at 5:15pm and got in line past the doors of the Asian Buffet. Man I gotta show up EARLIER!

Enjoyed Love Happens last nite at Buena Park. Was expecting MORE romance between the leads but it's more of a story about self awareness and helping ones self than helping others. Aaron Eckhart was good in Dark Knight too. Hey Adam where's the link for the OC forum for posting? And by the way those are some cute girls you had next to you...hope to see them again real soon. Can't wait for Couples Retreat....bring em on! P.S. BP Mall is really lame for a food court these days. Sbarro Pizza closed up and the only food is ACROSS the street. At least at The Block you've got choices.

Made it to Public Enemies last nite after winning the tickets. This was the first time I've won ANYTHING from this site and just wanted to thank Sean who I thought might be there but I guess not. I was under the assumption that winning tickets meant you really didn't have to show up early. Got there at 5:30pm and about 50 people were already there. OK it's Summer so more teens with things to do so I guess I should crank it up a notch and arrive at 3 or 4pm next time. Over all the film was awesome and ran about 2.5 hours which is typical for a Michael Mann film. Noticed the language and nudity were pretty much non existent. cya next time!

Wow I think just won Public Enemies tix! Thanks a ton Sean. I totally forgot that I had entered last week apparently. I'd love to see "open" tix for Bruno as I had worked on that as an extra last year. The trailer rocks. Haven't been to a Campus Circle screening in 4 months. Yeah!

Hey Sean just switched Land of the Lost in Orange to a contest entry. Looks like we gotta send pix of ourselves in as well. Too bad I don't live next to the mammoths stuck in the La Brea Tar Pits. That would be a great photo op!

The Hangover at 9am Wed over at Warner Brothers Gate 3 now available on Gofobo.com no code needed! Interesting to note....these are ADMIT ONE PERSON tickets instead of the usual "bring a friend" type tix. And Wow ya got to line up early for this one.

In regards to line cutting this is NOT specific to Campus Circle screenings. I've seen it happen at any of the other screenings by Gofobo or FilmMetro. From what I can tell there's usually 1 or 2 people managing the whole line and the rest of the people are security who only care about recording devices and camera phones getting into the theater. My BEST ADVICE to anyone is to make some friends with the "regulars" who are at the front of the line at 4pm or earlier and then maybe you might have a chance. Since I'm out of work I have the leisure of showing up earlier than that but I'm not crazy! It's really hard to enforce line cutters and all you can do is curse under your breath when it happens. Since the secret is OUT on these FREE screenings maybe it's time to use some wristbands. Great idea! P.S. So what is the big secret on getting Gofobo codes when they first come out. Do I need to subscribe to a blog or what? Hook me up man!
