Forgive Durden/Anarbor

I have to give Forgive Durden credit for two amazing feats. First, it’s the only time I can think of when all but one member of a band quits, and the remaining person carries on solo, while still performing under the band name. I mean, come on, that’s balls. Second, listening to their (his?) latest album, it’s the only time I’ve ever asked myself if a band signed to Fueled By Ramen was conceptually over my head. Bravo, Thomas Dutton. Anarbor, on the other hand, I can completely comprehend. Fast paced, infectiously catchy, crisp melodic vocals with memorable hooks, all of which I’m totally down with. And there’s no sarcastic irony attached to that, I promise. - Brian Overly
