 Trujillo, an SMC art professor, is best known for works in oil depicting Target interiors, Costco parking lots, fast-food restaurants, and reflective building fronts – places the artist refers to as “non-destinations, particularly North American kinds of nowhere,” at once ubiquitous and yet largely unseen.
Cheetham is a contemporary oil painter whose training is steeped in traditional portraiture. Born in San Francisco, he is a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. His remarkable skill at creating rich layers to capture the subtle nuances of his subjects hearkens back to the old masters, yet the work is undeniably fresh. More Information >>
