Virginia Avenue Project Presents Out of the Blue

The Virginia Avenue Project celebrates its 20th Anniversary with “Out of the Blue”, a unique theater experience featuring 7 short plays written by kids ages 7-12 and directed and performed by professional artist/mentors including Mary Pat Gleason (Will & Grace, Sex and the City), Todd Buonpane (30 Rock, Grey’s Anatomy), Christopher Youngsman (Across the Universe, Rescue Me, The Christopher Show).

These young playwrights wrote and developed their original works as part of the Virginia Avenue Project’s acclaimed and wildly-successful Playmaking Program – one of several programs administered by the non-profit organization using long-term, one-on-one Arts mentoring to give underserved children the skills to think creatively, critically, and courageously about life goals and choices.
