Traversing from the death of Garland to the election of Obama, Gay Powered: Now & Then features Stonewall Rapture, performed by McLaughlin and written by Kearns; Fernando, a monologue from Kearns’ seminal play, intimacies; and the evening’s centerpiece, So Hard, Ringold’s solo performance piece that includes video, dance, and spoken word, having just completed a successful run at the Zephyr Theatre.
