Tapas Tuesday Jazz Nights with Sir Sultry Quintet

Performing original compositions, Sir Sultry Quintet is a mix of jazz influenced from world music, flamenco, and blues. Ethan Margolis, director of Arte y Pureza Flamenco Dance Company teams up with the El Cid Dinner Theater in Silver Lake to present jazz/world music every Tuesday night. The Sir Sultry Quintet boasts an impressive lineup of accomplished jazz and world music artists. Featured musicians include saxophonist/flautist Katisse Buckingham (credits: Herbie Hancock, Prince); bassist Ric Fierabracci (credits: Chick Corea, Tom Jones); percussionist Chris Wabich (credits: Sting, Stanley Jordan); and guitarist/musical director Ethan Margolis of Arte y Pureza Flamenco Company. The result of Margolis' creation is an array of astounding rhythmic flurries, beautifully tasteful melodic lines and addictive grooves.
