Terrible Yellow Eyes
Terrible Yellow EyesAhead of the debut of Where The Wild Things Are, Cory Godbey, a professional animator and illustrator, has launched TerribleYellowEyes.com, a curatorial online project and ongoing blog with original works honoring Maurice Sendak, author and illustrator of the acclaimed 1963 children’s book classic from which Spike Jonze’s film has been adapted. Godbey’s work and the growth and significance of TerribleYellowEyes.com influenced Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, Calif., to host an exhibition to showcase original illustrations from Godbey and the supporting artistic community the Sendak tribute site has attracted.
