Posted: 1:38pm \| 7/31/2009 LOLGuy wrote about the Funny People OC Film Screening: So, i have a few things to say about this film, first of all it wasn't at all what i expected, it was a drama with comedic moments, not the other way around.It had funny parts where the entire theater was laughing, but it hinged on the dark side of celebrity and the struggles of life. There were tons of cameos but all sorts of "funny people" throughout the film. I was a tad dissapointed that it wasn't more raunchy comedy like Apatow is known for.It was a different role for Sandler and i think that he carried it well. I guess I expected a lot better with such cast that have given us so many other great and funnier movies. Adam Sandler was great and I liked all the guest appearances also, especially,,,, well Im not gonna ruin it for those who have not seen it yet... Overall it is a good movie. It was good but not great like some of Sandlers other foreys into the Dramady genre. I liked Click as far as overall, but this was darker and real. There were just a lot of moments where it was hard to watch because it wasn't funny or it was just plain bad decisions, but maybe that was the point. It was a tad too long. Overall I'd say B-.
