AND the facts were wrong. The lead character who gets out of prison didn't kill his WIFE! He killed a gangster who he caught in bed with his wife. (a.k.a. crime of passion) After he's out of prison he screws his now ex-wife in the backroom of the diner where she works. The guy is a classic anti-hero-- and IS a somewhat gentle man. The guy who finally gets killed in the end, is the no-good bum who got him mixed up with criminal types and messed up his life. It's a black comedy-- that doesn't in the least "sugar coat" gangster activity or trivialize crime. I think the reviewer was asleep or was texting-- This film has gotten excellent critical notice and festival audiences loved it. I saw it at the Scandinavian Film Festival at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills.
