Buddle Scores, but Galaxy Suffer Loss in Opener

The defending MLS Cup champions wanted a different outcome in their season home opener, but Real Salt Lake had something else in mind their 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy at The Home Depot Center in Carson. Striker Edson Buddle was back to his old ways, scoring his first goal of the year to give the Galaxy a 1-0 edge. However, Real Salt Lake countered with three unanswered goals. L.A. is 0-0-1.
