This impressive set presents music that’s currently happening on the U.K. dancehall scene, and spotlights hot upcoming British reggae acts like Gappy Ranks, Lea-Anna and the hottest of them all, Stylo G, who’s represented here with three cuts, including the boastful “Call Mi a Yardie” and “My Style,” which is sung in a heavy Jamaican patois. Jamaican artists like I-Octane and Mavado are featured as well, and island favorite Popcaan has several tunes on the album, including the anti-authority cut “Nuh Yes Man.” Interview snippets and a few music videos included on a bonus DVD let you get to know some of these artists even better.
