The Lakers had a chance to eliminate the visiting Denver Nuggets at home in game five of their opening post season series, but they did not do so well. Denver came out ready to play and defeated L.A. 102-99 despite a ferocious comeback from the hosts and Kobe Bryant's 43 points. The Lakers now lead the series 3-2 and play game six in Denver on Thursday.
