Chichén Itzá's Second Annual Chile Habanero Eating Contest will be held this Father's Day on Sunday, June 17th, in Downtown Los Angeles' Mercado La Paloma. A restaurant specializing in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula cuisine, Chichén Itzá is looking to make this contest even better than last year's. All the participants will have a bowl of chiles habaneros to go along with a plate of tacos de cochinita pibil. A $50 Chichén Itzá Restaurant gift certificate will go to the winner, essentially the person who eats the most chiles during a timed period.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in all of California, Chichén Itzá Restaurant is located at Mercado La Paloma in 3655 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
