So you say science is for nerds? And you say comic books are for geeks? Well, maybe they are but what of it? Anyone who says that just doesn't get it.

[end angst-ridden childhood flashback]

If you can handle the geekery for a day and aren't too scared of being a kid again, or at the very least can operate under the pretense that this is just for your niece/nephew/little cousin, you might learn a thing or two at California Science Center‚s Marvel Superheroes Science Exhibition.

Learn about everything from genetic mutations with Wolverine to the science of lighting with Storm (Halle Berry underacting-free!) to modern technology with Iron Man. Even the adult struggling for control over the inner child will find something to pique their interest in this convergence of science with fiction.

If you‚re looking for something to break up the monotony of the average work week, this definitely isn‚t the typical trip to the dive bar at the corner or the lame chick-flick at the movie theater.

And besides, everyone knows Jessica err Invisible Woman is like, the hottest fictional character ever, so that alone is reason enough to take interest.

California Science Center is located at 700 State Dr., Exposition Park (Take the 110 fwy., exit Exposition Blvd.), in Los Angeles.
