Gay Powered: Now & Then
A multi-media theatrical presentation, Gay Powered features the work of Our Gayng members Michael Kearns, John W. McLaughlin and Derek Ringold. Traversing from the death of Garland to the election of Obama, Gay Powered: Now & Then features Stonewall Rapture, performed by McLaughlin and written by Kearns; Fernando, a monologue from Kearns’ seminal play, intimacies; and the evening’s centerpiece, So Hard, Ringold’s solo performance piece that includes video, dance, and spoken word, having just completed a successful run at the Zephyr Theatre. Kearns directs.
