Poor Deb Dorfman – twenty-seven and single, living in suburban Los Angeles with her depressed and unappreciative widowed father and working for her manic and unappreciative married brother. Deb desperately needs to get her own life.

So, when Jay, her unrequited love, needs a cat sitter for a week, Deb volunteers. Bad news: Jay just moved into a downtown L.A. loft and it’s a total mess. Good news: This gives Deb one week to transform the chaos into the perfect home for Jay and win his heart. That’s not the only transformation that will occur before Jay returns.

Deb is suddenly transported from the gray sameness of suburbia to the 24/7 Technicolor energy of downtown LA. It’s a rude awakening. She meets Jay’s neighbor, Cookie, a hottie artist and confirmed bachelor, who encourages and appreciates her. Other neighbors, wild and sexy models, give her a makeover. Deb internally and externally begins to change in ways that threaten her father and brother.

All builds to the night of Jay’s surprise return at Cookie’s Gallery opening. Will she choose Jay or Cookie or something or someone else? Will Deb break free to live her own life and forgive her Dad?
