Crüe Fest 2
So, it’s not secret that I love me some good, dirty ’80s hair metal. Specifically, I’m a bit partial to Mötley Crüe, within which I have particular affection for the one and only Nikki Sixx. So much so that I’m willing to conveniently ignore the fact that he apparently stated that Crüe Fest 2 was “the most kick ass bands on one bill,” or some such, in reference to a lineup that includes Godsmack and Theory of a Deadman.
Maybe by “kick ass,” he meant “generic.” Or “awful.” He’s done a lot of drugs in his day; I can see how the words might all become interchangeable mentally. I’m including this, despite Massive Tour Support Fail, because the Crüe boys are going to be playing the Dr. Feelgood album in its entirety every night on this tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the album’s release.
Hear the band’s definitive album played live from start to finish in one night? Yes please. - Brien Overly
