Inside the Mercado la Paloma in DTLA, Holbox is a casual order at the counter Mexican seafood restaurant by chef Gilberto Cetina Jr from Chichen Itza Restaurant. We do both raw and cooked. On the raw side we offer daily changing ceviches, cocteles and shellfish like oysters, blood clams and live surf clams. On the cooked side we specialize in wood grilled seafood tacos made with top quality ingredients and served on handmade corn tortillas. We also offer several small appetizers like fish stuffed chiles & cazon shark empanadas. We don't limit ourselves to traditional Yucatan recipes but take inspiration from them and other regional cuisines of Mexico to produce a dynamic menu featuring the vast and amazing seafood available to us. We are in essence an order at the counter seafood stand but we also offer a 4 course tasting menu Thursday - Saturday from 5 pm - 8 pm. Closed on Mondays.
