Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust presents “The Impossible Medical School: Warsaw Ghetto ’43,” a compelling talk with Dr. Leo Gordon, Sunday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m. A largely unknown piece of Holocaust history, “The Impossible Medical School” is a story of educational risk, brave students and teachers, courage under siege, and medical resistance. Under the most extreme and dangerous conditions, physicians created a clandestine medical school within the walls of the Warsaw Ghetto. Dr. Gordon will describe the rationale behind this effort, the individuals who participated, and the environment surrounding this daring attempt at medical education.
