This show, dear readers, is quintessentially it this week. This is the show that all of you need to buy your tickets for, like, yesterday. Because these guys will give you the show to end all shows. I’ve been waiting patiently since Warped Tour last year for the Canadian post-hardcore band to swing back through Los Angeles on a headlining tour. Very patiently. Because grateful as I am to see them play in any form, and even for as fittingly epic as an outdoor performance at dusk on a frigidly windy Ventura night may have been, a half-hour set time can’t possibly do their extensive oeuvre justice. Besides, this band embodies the raw, gritty, in-your-face attitude that real rock ’n’ roll is all about. What’s more, they have the emotive ability to make each song resonate on a personal level, whether growling out a social call to arms or wailing out a heart-wrencher. These guys make some of the biggest rock that five dudes can possibly make, which is exactly why one of Los Angeles' most intimate venues is the best place to see them. - Brien Overly
