The Naked And Famous

Admittedly, this is another one of those bands that, after hearing them as filler soundtrack on CW teen dramas, I struggled to remain committed to enjoying their music. Not to be that guy, but the day I saw eye to eye with “Gossip Girl” audiences about music was the day I vowed to quit this gig. But … screw it. A legit band with intelligently crafted songs, I just can’t find fault with it, regardless of where else I hear it. With music that’s dreamy, ethereal and atmospheric while still being infectiously catchy, I’m going to be the bigger person here and offer the New Zealanders respect for their work in bringing good music to tasteless children. - Brien Overly
