Becket @ Troubadour
Two of cinema's most legendary actors (both in
their height of their prospective careers), match wits in director
Peter Glenville's Becket. Just fresh off his career making role
in Lawrence of Arabia, Peter O'Toole plays the powerful King Henry II
in 12th Century England. Richard Burton plays Thomas à Becket,
his best friend and close advisor. When the Archbishop of Canterbury
dies, Henry appoints Becket, though it is a shock for Henry as Becket
takes the position with nobility and becomes an opposing foe to Henry.
