ALICE IN CHAINS @ The Roxy
Post-grunge band Alice in Chains returns to the stage,
this time without original vocalist Layne Staley. The early
’90s hard-rock band is best known for their bleak, almost
nihilistic sound that merged heavy metal with searing acoustics. Alice
then became forerunners in the “Seattle-sound” music
movement spearheaded by superbands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Alice in Chains returns on tour without the late Layne Staley,
promising to burn up the hallowed stage of The Roxy and prove to
Alice-inspired copycats like Godsmack and Nickelback what it really
means to rock out. The Roxy is located at 9009 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood.
