BEN HARPER@ GreekTheatre
Plain and simple—Ben Harper is a showman.
Banded with his group of Innocent
Criminals, things really do get out of hand.
It’s pretty impressive for a guy who rocks out sitting down,
hitting the strings of his lap steel guitar. Opening for Harper is
Damien Marley, the sounds of reggae will no less be reflected
throughout the dusk night. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com. The Greek Theatre is located at 2700 North Vermont (in
Griffith Park) in Los Angeles For more info visit www.greekt2eatrela.com

Flaming Star/Love Me Tender @ the Egyptian Theatre
Grab the comb, slick back hair and remember to wear
those blue suede shoes as the Egyptian Theatre presents an Elvis
Presley double feature of “the King” Elvis Presley. In Flaming Star, Dirty Harry director Don
Siegel directs Presley in what some call, his best performance ever. In
Love Me Tender,
Presley’s debut film, The King becomes a farmer as he plays the
youngest of four brothers, as the elder brothers go out to fight the
Civil War while Presley tends to the farm. Drama enfolds for all.
Still, Elvis still gets to croon the titular song. The Egyptian Theatre
is located at 6712 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. For more info visit www.egyptiantheatre.com
