CURSIVE @ The Avalon
Tim Kasher and the rest of Cursive are set to hit Hollywood with their brand of emotionally charged rock akin to that of their label mates from Saddle Creek Records. FUSION FRIDAYS @ Highlands Night Club
Fusion is at its utmost frenzy on the last day of the work week, a pure dancing extravaganza for Fusion Fridays at the Highlands Night Club. At the Hollywood hotspot, the club’s DJs combine music videos with the real time footage of club goers dancing their proverbial tail off. Add in some computer animation and you’ll realize why this club reaches zenith during the late hours. Highlands Night Club is located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard #433 in Hollywood. Frankenstein, the Mummy, and Dracula. We generally known them as classic horror film icons but seriously they’re not real. Spiders, snakes, and other creepy crawlers are real, the three causing goosebumps all over the body. At Enchanted Hallow’s Eve, the latter will be there as well as some secret corridors and hidden passageways. Trick or treating and costuming is welcomed. And yes, don’t worry not, even The Wolf Man will be there. Eco Station is located at 10101 Jefferson Boulevard in Culver City. For more information visit

The pictures speak for themselves, photography is everywhere capturing all moments 24/7. Art is everywhere. That theme alone is the discussion for Extraordinary Days: The Berman Collection of Photography. Author Barry Lopez will highlight such topics as the relationship between physical landscape and human culture looking through the photo collection which depicts images of landscapes and the lifestyles of contemporary America (i.e. diners, farm fields and barbershops). Reservations are required. Call (310) 440-7300 to reserve your spot. The Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles. For more information visit

Its been a rough start for the L.A. Kings so far this season, the team currently placed 11th in the Western Conference. But it’s still fairly early and like all good L.A. teams, a good and long win streak is likely to occur. Hopefully things can get back on the right track as the Kings do battle against the other fairly big team on the East coast, the New York Rangers. Its a L.A. vs. New York City showdown once again, one hopes we can get retribution for what their New York City baseball team (New York Mets) did to our precious Dodgers.  Staples Center is located at 1111 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. For more information visit

Tuesday, Oct. 31
GHOSTBUSTERS @ Egyptian Theatre
Done with all that trick or treating huh? Stuffed to the gills with all that chocolate and candy corn? So who are you going to call to help mitigate your Halloween hangover? Yep… you guessed it the Ghostbusters. The comedy classic directed by Ivan Reitman which stars Bill Murray is the perfect all Hollow’s Eve cure what with the proton packs, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow and come on… who can forget Slimer. The Egyptian Theatre is located at 6712 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. For more information visit
