long before TV shows like "Laguna Beach", "90210"
and "The OC" hit the airwaves. In fact, for photographer Julius
Shulman, the beauty of Southern California’s modern architecture
began in the Hollywood Hills where he took his first professional photo
in the 1930s. But now, more than 80 of Shulman’s pictures –
covering nearly six decades of America’s architectural history –
are on display at one of the Getty Center’s newest exhibits, Modernity
and the Metropolis.
