This is footage from Slayer’s Vancouver stop on the 2006 Unholy Alliance tour. It is essentially a Slayer video; they were the headliners, and their full set is caught here. But all of the warm up acts are nicely represented, beginning with “Dark White” from Thine Eyes Bleed.

An interview segment with each band precedes their concert footage, and members of Children of Bodom warn that if you ever meet them backstage there is a good chance you’ll find them and their whole crew completely naked.

Mastodon performs “Capillarian Crest,” “Crystal Skull” and “Blood and Thunder,” while Lamb of God asks the audience to form a circle pit during their performance of “Vigil.” The circle starts out relatively small but eventually engulfs most of the floor in a show of crowd participation that is not matched during the headliner’s set.

Slayer does what they do best – no talkin’ and lots of rockin’. The old-school metal-men thrash the crowd into oblivion with a 10-song set including “South of Heaven,” “Hell Awaits,” “The Anti-Christ” and “Angel of Death.”
