If first impressions were always lasting impressions, it would be easy to write Underoath off as just another obnoxious screamo hardcore band with a lot of anger to vent. But take some time to listen to and get to know the band and you’ll notice there’s a passion behind the band’s music that stems much deeper than what’s at surface value. The six members of Underoath, while each seems so completely different from each other, all share the same commitment to hardcore music and their savior Jesus Christ.

Originally released last year, Underoath’s breakthrough album They’re Only Chasing Safety is back in a "Special Edition" format, which means four bonus tracks and a DVD.

While the CD alone is not likely to attract any new fans, it’s the DVD that’s the real gem.

It’s this DVD that gives its viewers a better understanding into each of Underoath’s band members and the passion for the faith they all share. While their faith may be the purpose for creating the music they do, they make it clear that they don’t want to be in your face about it, but just give listeners an understanding of where the band comes from and what they are about.

On a lighter note, the DVD also calls for some mighty laughable moments. Chugging and puking milk, buying a sweatshirt off some guys back, running over old computer modems with a car and beating each other up are just some of the highlighted moments on the DVD. Any fan of the band will also enjoy the one-on-one interviews, random trivia (such as the bands stink factor) and live show montages.
