Megan and Jill Carle’s cookbook doesn’t waste time with false advertising. Most of the dishes are made to be stand-alone entrees that can be completed by people who mess up boiling water. The sisters offer timesaving tips, like using pre-packaged products whenever possible, but this is not a book full of “semi-homemade” recipes. It’s packed with gorgeous pictures and homey recipes that even the most fervent carnivore wouldn’t mind eating.
