Dominican bachata singer Frank Reyes delivered an entertaining performance the night before Thanksgiving. It marked Reyes’ first appearance in Los Angeles.

The 90-minute show featured a few merengue tunes, but it was mostly bachata. This particular music genre is rather romantic in its tempo and lyrics. Bachata has its roots in the Dominican Republic’s countryside and rural neighborhoods.

Dressed in a gray three-piece suit, Reyes serenaded the crowd all night. His dance moves and angelical voice provided a glamorous and soothing experience.

Reyes, who is known as the Prince of Bachata, saved his best for last when he performed “Te Regalo El Mar.” This melody describes a romantic venture for a man who is willing to do anything to conquer the heart of a woman.
