Legendary comic book artist Steve Ditko’s early work in horror comics is resurrected in a beautiful hardcover collection. The book covers the years 1953-1954, leading up to the adoption of the Comics Code. In those years, the young but already effective artist rendered scenes of gruesome terror, from acid baths to dismemberments.

These full color reproductions faithfully reproduce Ditko’s work in all its glory. Also included are notes by Blake Bell, author of the retrospective Strange and Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko.
