The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ doesn’t aim for the fences, but it definitely makes a good hit to the outfield. American manufacturer Chevrolet looks to reinvent the sedan with the Chevy Cruze. Though small in stature, it sure does provide a quick jolt. Before driving the Cruze, when you hear midsize sedan, your mind would think of a small compact rent-a-car that you dread having to drive, but the Chevy Cruze is everything but. Its relatively roomy, sporty interior makes it enjoyable.

Exterior: The Cruze commands the road with its petite but sporty body, top-notch part styling, with an everyday structure that will hold up to the elements of today’s everyday drive, and its ergonomically safe cabin that provides an all-around safe ride on the inside. The solar ray light tint gives the Cruze a body that always stays cool, no matter how much the summer days heat up. Thanks to its lightweight 18-inch sport alloy wheels, the Cruze provides good stability and traction for unstable and winding roads.

Interior: The Cruze steps up the everyday sedan interior. No longer is it just a radio/CD player. The Cruze has made some colossal jumps into the 21st century featuring steering column tilt and telescoping which makes for a relatively comfortable driving experience, accompanied by a six-way PWR driver seat and memory, an eight-way passenger seat adjuster, a modest but effective nine-speaker Pioneer sound system with easy access Bluetooth hands free calling, XM satellite radio (with subscription) iPod, CD audio, mp3 and USB plug in port in the dash. Though having a relatively small feel, it seats five comfortably.

Performance: As well as having a moderate jump, the Cruze can handle with the best of them. Thanks to a 1.4L DOHC 16 Valve 1-4 Engine, 138 horses with a six speed shiftable automatic transmission is supplied with 140 LBS-ft torque, drive type front-wheel drive, Macpherson strut front wheel suspension and Torsion beam rear suspension.

Safety & Security: Chevrolet wanted the Cruze to be as safe as it could be, thanks to a four-wheel ABS system, dual front and rear side-mounted airbags, child seat anchors, passenger airbag occupant sensing deactivation and a post collusion safety system. Matched with stability control, traction control and electronic brake force distribution, airbag deployment notification makes the Cruze an ultimately safe choice.

The Cruze is the midsize sedan that car enthusiasts have been waiting for: a small car with incredible gas mileage (24 city and 36 freeway) but has the entertainment and performance that make it an ultimate must for any everyday driver.
