Kiplinger just released their annual list of the “100 Best Values in Public Colleges.” Three schools in California made the top ten while three others made the Top 25:

2) University of Florida
3) University of Virginia
4) College of William and Mary
5) New College of Florida
6) University of Georgia
7) UC Berkeley
8) University of Maryland, College Park
9) UCLA
10) UC San Diego
17) UC Santa Barbara
20) UC Davis
22) UC Irvine
Kiplinger also released their annual list of the “100 Best Values in Private Colleges” with two schools in California making the top ten:
1) Princeton
2) Yale
3) CalTech
4) Rice
5) Harvard
6) Penn
7) Duke
8) Columbia
9) MIT
10) Stanford
The rankings are based on a formula involving cost, financial aid, student indebtedness, competitiveness, graduation rates and academic support.
