On February 8, Coldplay will perform at Club Nokia for a special iHeartRadio Benefit concert presented by Clear Channel Media and L.A. radio stations KIIS FM, 98-7 and MYFM. Proceeds will go to two Los Angeles based youth charities: A Place Called Home and Youth Mentoring Connection.

A Place Called Home, based in South Central Los Angeles, provides a safe Haven for underserved youth and provides resources in education for them to take their lives in a better direction. Youth Mentoring connection is a mentor program that partners with at-risk youth and lends a guiding hand to help them fulfill their purpose.  Coldplay’s contribution to the benefit shows the group’s renowned dedication to international charity work and activism.

"It's a special scenario for the Los Angeles radio stations and iHeartRadio to have an opportunity to collaborate with Coldplay to support the work of two great local organizations that directly impact the LA community," said John Ivey, Senior Vice President of Programming, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. "Coldplay in this intimate setting will be an amazing experience for the audience, plus concert-goers will be helping support LA's at-risk youth."

Coldplay released their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto, in October 2011 and also performed at the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. They are treating Los Angeles to an early show with the iHeartRadio benefit after they had scheduling three shows at the Hollywood Bowl for the month of May.
