Latinos Clásicos is here yet again, and this year it features the musical act Santa Cecilia Orchestra, who will be performing at Occidental College's Thorne Hall.

Sunday's 4 p.m. performance figures to provide solid entertainment for the public. Santa Cecilia Orchestra will once again celebrate the glory of Latin-infused classical music. Conductor Sonia Marie De León de Vega will lead the orchestra's 80-piece symphony group, featuring the world premiere of Yalil Guerra's "Old Havana." 

According to a prepared statement on the upcoming show, "This sizzling concert’s bold color and atmosphere infused music will ignite passions in an orchestral performance that is sure to exhilarate and delight the audience, revealing the soul of Latin music, thrilling Latin rhythms and rich, exciting orchestration."

Founded in 1992, Santa Cecilia Orchestra has devoted significant time to sharing the resplendent and influential classical music with the Southern California population. Through live performances and stimulating music education programs, the orchestra has expressed a particular focus on Latino communities that are underserved and underrepresented in the arts.
