The 34th College Television Awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation, have officially brought Vimeo in as the video platform for this year's competition. The awards, which are considered the Emmys for college students, will ask participants to use the social film-sharing site to submit entries.

"Since Vimeo is one of the world's largest creative networks, they provide an ideal platform for these students to house and share their content with other creatives," Norma Provencio Pichardo, executive director of the Television Academy Foundation, said to Mashable.com.
