The retail industry isn't doing well enough to keep operations flowing. In Christmas 2012, the industry experienced a downfall in terms of sales revenue. With GDP growth slowing and taxes going up, we can expect some stores to be closing this year. Consequently, some of the companies that might close stores include Fashion Bug, Sears, Blockbuster, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Pacific Sunwear, Esprit, and Collective Brands (Stride Rite, Payless).
