Billy Blanks Jr. Dance Party Boot Camp is a 30-minute workout that combines hot dance moves and boot camp conditioning; it’s the latest calorie-kicker from dancer and fitness expert Billy Blanks Jr.
Designed for all ages, shapes and sizes, the workout is high on energetic dance moves, and a good sense of coordination and rhythm isn’t essential to keep up with Blanks and his eclectic team.

With Salsa, Cha Cha, line dancing and Rumba sequences broken down into simple steps, even the clumsiest of folks can master the technique. With a few practice runs, you can pick up the moves very quickly and stay on your toes - literally.

There are three segments that start with a 5-minute warm-up session and end with a 5-minute stretch segment. In between is a 30-minute workout mix of several varied dance styles for a high-energy dance challenge that will kick calories to the curb.

If the name “Billy Blanks Jr.” sounds familiar, it's because he is the son of fitness guru, martial artist and the inventor of the Tae Bo exercise program, Billy Blanks.

A dancer who has choreographed several musical productions, including the Broadway musical ?“Fame,” Blanks, who's accompanied by wife Sharon and a group of fellow upbeat workout enthusiasts, does a great job of explaining a move and repeating it. He gradually adds more steps before combining them all in one extended sequence. With a contagious smile, he also maintains a positive, encouraging attitude throughout the session, which makes a nice change from all the serious L.A.-style fitness workouts out there. You will glide and groove to dance music, spice things up with hip-trimming swivels and shake to lively samba steps in this feel-good fitness program.

At the end of it all, you won’t be dripping with sweat, but you will tone up your body in a great way and have fun at the same time.
