This weekend, educate yourself on the finest natural health information at the 2013 Long Beach Health Freedom Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center.
These days, health is the new hot topic of discussion. More and more people are opting for healthier lifestyles such as going vegan, gluten-free or switching to all-natural diets and supplements. At the Health Freedom Expo, certified natural health professionals will offer an educational solution to help people reach their health goals. The mission is to bring the finest natural health information, products and services to the public.
The expo is a large event with more than 100 guest speakers, more than 150 interactive exhibitors, six panel discussion, four inspiring movies and three advances workshops.
Unlike other health expos that just want to sell products, the Health Freedom Expo has passionate people who are excited to share information. The panel discussions will talk about topics such as the laws behind natural health solutions, science and vaccine politics, how to use food as medicine, the dangers of fracking, how to age healthier and more.
Meanwhile, the three workshops will feature Dean Ornish, Patch Adams and Joan Borysenko. Dr. Ornish will teach attendees how to make lifestyle changes and create individualized ways of eating and living based on needs, genes and preferences. In Dr. Adams’ workshp, attendees will learn about the history, philosophy and future of the Gesundheit Institute, a not-for-profit health care organization that is involved in holistic medical care. And lastly, Dr. Borysenko will put on a workshop entitled, "Full Spectrum Health: Where Science and Spirit Meet."
And of course, no expo is complete without exhibitors. Fitness, exercise and wellness centers, laser skin clinics, organic food providers and more will all be exhibiting at the Health Freedom Expo. Attendees can try samples at some booths and at the same time learn about natural health innovations and companies.
The movie night portion of the expo will feature four films: Escape Fire, Simply Raw, Genetic Roulette and Folks This Ain’t Normal. Dr. Ornish is in Escape Fire, which explores ways on how to save the nation’s broken healthcare system. Simply Raw follows six diabetics who decide to switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, uncooked food for 30 days in order to reverse the disease without pharmaceutical medication. Genetic Roulette discusses genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and how they are the primary forces driving illnesses in America today, and Folks This Ain’t Normal is based off the book by farmer Joel Salatin; he states that we have a disconnection form natural foods that “just ain’t normal.”
Whether you’re already a health advocate or looking to adopt a natural, healthy lifestyle, the Health Freedom Expo is where you need to be.
The Long Beach Health Freedom Expo is from March 1 to March 3. Times are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The expo will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B (300 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, Calif. 90802).
