Spend a delicious and fun day at the 30th annual California Strawberry Festival, taking place at Strawberry Meadows of College Park in Oxnard on May 18 and 19.

For three decades, the Strawberry Festival has been gracing Southern California with a weekend of summer bliss.

Strawberry lovers will find themselves in two days of heaven as they discover more than 50 booths serving a plethora of fresh strawberries and strawberry creations, including strawberry pizza, strawberry nachos, deep-fried strawberries, chocolate dipped strawberries, strawberry funnel cake and even strawberry beer.

Aside from the tempting food, festival-goers of all ages will find a variety of entertainment. The festival will abound with an array of musicians playing live concerts on two stages. There will be a marching band, indie, jazz, country, rock, pop and funk!

Children will love the free rides that include a bungee bounce, climbing wall, "berry go whirl," mini train and much more. Plus, the Family Fun Stage will draw laughs with its jugglers, clowns, puppet shows and magic shows.

Enjoy more than 250 award-winning arts and crafts exhibits, and take a stroll down Strawberry Promenade to watch celebrity chef demonstrations, recipe competitions and healthy lifestyle presentations.

Challenge your appetite in the Strawberry Pie Eating Contest or try your hand in the Tart Toss. Be sure not to miss the Green Screen, which offers interactive exhibits that showcase simple ways to integrate eco-friendly lifestyle choices that can positively impact our environment.

The Strawberry Festival has been serving the Southland community since its inception. One hundred percent of proceeds from food booths go directly to benefit more than 20 local charity organizations, and close to $4 million has been raised since the festival began.

Help the Strawberry Festival with its Green Policy while saving time and gas by taking the free Park 'n' Ride Strawberry Shuttle to the event, which picks up in several convenient locations.

The California Strawberry Festival takes place on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 3250 South Rose Ave. in Oxnard. Tickets are $5 for children, $12 for adults and $8 for seniors. For more information on the festival, click here.
