Get into the Holiday spirit and take a look at a house decked-out with more decorations than you could ever imagine. The Grier Musser Museum, set in a historic Queen Anne home near downtown Los Angeles, is known for changing its holiday themes throughout the year – from "Be My Valentine" to "Halloween Haunt."
Grier’s newest exhibit takes patrons through the winter wonderland of a Dicken’s Christmas with a Victorian flair. All visitors are greeted at the door before being shown rooms filled with classic Santa Clauses, angels, village scenes and vintage Christmas cards.
The star of the show, a huge tree covered with the museum’s collection of antique ornaments, serves as an educational walk through holiday history while simultaneously inspiring onlookers to give their own homes a decorative makeover.
The Grier Musser Museum is located at 403 S. Bonnie Brae St., in Los Angeles. Museum hours: Wed-Fri noon-4 p.m.; Sat 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; closed Sun-Tue. Price: $6 general admission; $4 students and seniors; $3 children ages 5-12. For more information, call (213) 413-1814 or visit www.griermussermuseum.com.
