The recent immense popularity of the video-sharing app, Vine, may be inspiring other social media outlets to add video functions.

Instagram, the most common photo-sharing app, is rumored to releasing information June 20 about its endeavor into the video-sharing market. The question remains as to the details: will the videos have filter options? How long will the videos be? As of now, this change doesn’t seem like a good move for Instagram, seeing as they dominate the photo market and their video function will have to rise above Vine’s to impress. However, it could be a genius way to make Instagram a sort of one-stop social media app.
