Erased is an action-packed thriller that is sure to captivate audiences across the nation.

Aaron Eckhart and Liana Liberato star as Ben and Amy Logan, a father-daughter duo that is forced to run away after Ben realizes that his entire past has been erased - and he and Amy are being hunted for termination.

The film begins with hardworking ex-CIA-operative Ben trying to balance working his new job with taking care of his previously estranged daughter, Amy. Even though they argue, they seem like any other ordinary family.

Ben’s life is instantly turned upside down when he shows up to work and finds that all of his co-workers, and his job, have vanished, and that someone is after him as well. It is up to Ben to protect his daughter and himself as he tries to figure out why the people he trusted are chasing him.

Amy, who up until this point had been in the dark about her dad’s CIA history, is suddenly thrown into an entirely new world as she does her best to assist her dad in keeping them safe. Along the way, the Logans come across several friends, foes and false clues that eventually lead them to something that no one was ever supposed to discover.

Erased has all of the key elements of a classic summer action flick: there are high-speed car chases, hardcore fight scenes, international conspiracies, and of course, one evil mastermind behind it all.

Men will enjoy this film because of the intense fight scenes and the sheer amount of explosions that occur throughout the movie. Women will appreciate Amy, the teenage daughter full of angst, who struggles to create a relationship with both her father and a potential love interest.

The film takes many cues from iconic action films such as the James Bond and Mission Impossible franchises, and it shares similar themes to the blockbuster hit Taken. The love-story plot seems unnecessary; however, it does not take away from the film itself. If you are more interested in the love portion of action films, then this movie is probably not the best choice. However, if you genuinely love fast-paced, exciting action thrillers, then you will definitely enjoy Erased.
