The Los Angeles City Council has approved the Hollywood Millennium project in a 13-0 vote on Wednesday. The project will allow the construction of two skyscrapers and more than 1 million square feet of office, hotel and retail space on several vacant parking lots surrounding the Capitol Records building, which is located on Vine Street. However, there might be one serious downfall to this project: the skyscrapers will be built close to a major earthquake fault line, according to state officials.
