Technology degrees may not be the way to go after all! A recent study by Georgetown University has revealed that the unemployment rates for information technology grads are almost double theatre and art majors. There are many reasons, but the main idea gathered from the study is that IT and tech jobs are more susceptible to the changing recession.

When a company needs to downsize, IT people are often first to go. The theatre and art industry is traditionally less affected by economic upheaval. IT and technology jobs are expected to rise in the next couple of years, though, since the industry is considered to be very cyclical.
