Well, Season 6 begins with Howard in space and Raj feeling lonely in his absence, even though Howard’s new bride seems okay with it. When he gets back, his friends seem disinterested in his journey despite the fact that they are all supposed to be geniuses that are normally hyper-interested in all things scientific. Oh yeah, and here's a big surprise (read sarcastically): there may be relationship trouble between Penny and Leonard.

Okay, I was not impressed with this season right out of the gate. Watching one episode after another made me realize that I am not crazy about what the show has become. "The Big Bang Theory" deserves the position it has earned as one of the top sitcoms we all know and love. It is comforting and fun - we're always guaranteed some good lines and hearty laughter. However, it isn’t the same show anymore, and I miss what is was.

The DVD extras are interesting, but not spectacular. Howard’s time in space allowed for two cameos from actual astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Mike Massimino, and you get to hear from them both behind the scenes as well. There is a cute, warm look at how the cast's interpersonal relationships have grown over the years, but the obligatory gag reel is average.
