We've all been guilty of posting and "liking" delicious photos of food on our Instagram. But did you know that looking at too many of these photos could actually kill or decrease your appetite?

According to a Brigham Young University study, researchers found a connection between viewing too many food images and a decreased desire to eat certain foods. Apparently, looking at too many food images can make you feel like you've already experienced the food, according to the BYU article. It's basically "sensory boredom" - you become tired of the taste without even eating the food.

So what does this mean for dieters? Could looking at a lot of Instagram photos help you stay away from eating certain foods? Perhaps. Looking at too many pictures could decrease your craving. However, the researchers noted that you can't just look at two or three photos for your appetite to decrease; you have to look at a "decent number of pictures."
