For the 12th consecutive year in a row, the University of Southern California has the most international students out of all U.S. colleges.

International students make up almost one quarter of USC's total student population of 40,000. During the 2012-2013 academic school year, 9,840 students were from different countries, many of them coming from India and China.

Many of the students enrolled in graduate level courses in fall 2012, and most of those attended the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.

USC officials told NBC News Southern California, "It’s a big responsibility to enroll so many international students...once students are here we do everything we can to help them have a really great experience."
