Wish that turkey would just cook itself? Tuckered out after hours at the mall? That’s why many American restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving and serving up special bargains on Black Friday.

On the holiday itself, Boston Market will serve up a full Thanksgiving meal for dine-in patrons while also dishing up takeout. Buca di Beppo, open at 11 a.m. and taking reservations, will offer Italian-style Thanksgiving fixings.

At Claim Jumper, there will be a three-course dinner on Thursday. Cracker Barrel will be open, as will El Torito with a buffet. Denny's, HomeTown Buffet, IHOP, Mimi’s Cafe, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Sizzler will all welcome guests.

Fast food outlets serving guests at certain locations on the holiday include McDonald's and Burger King. A manager of a Pizza Hut in Indiana told an area CBS affiliate that he was fired after refusing to open on Thanksgiving.

On Black Friday, other restaurateurs are offering special deals.

CiCi’s Pizza locations in certain parts of the country will stay open early Friday morning to feed employees of nearby retailers working the shopping event overnight, offering special prices for local businesses.

At the Grove in Los Angeles, the Whisper Restaurant and Lounge will host a seven-hour happy hour event starting at noon on Friday.

Black Friday diners at Red Lobster who order any adult entree can add a free Maine Lobster Tail using a coupon from the chain’s Facebook site or parent company Darden’s website. At LongHorn Steakhouse, one lunch combination makes the second combination half off from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
