LA Weekly reports a University of Southern California (USC) graduate student is one of the 239 passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

Twenty-seven-year-old Qiao Xing got a Master's in petroleum engineering at USC last year and earned a job at Beijing's Shell Oil Company. Xing reportedly worked as a cashier at the USC Bookstores and as a customer service representative at USC Housing.
